See the status of the work at a glance

A project plan often makes more sense as stages than as a long list. Board View turns a SpacebarX branch into clear columns and cards, so you can see what is moving, what is waiting and what needs attention next.

The branch’s children became the column headings; their children became the cards. Nothing was copied to get here.

A visual workflow built from the outline you already have

Choose a project branch and switch to Board View. Its main sections become columns, their children become cards, and the underlying SpacebarX outline remains the single source of truth.

Turn a plan into a board

  1. Structure a branch around the stages that matter

Planned, In Progress and Done, or whatever your work actually calls them — the children of the branch are the columns you will get.

  2. Switch that branch to Board View

One click. Nothing is copied, exported or set up first.

  3. Scan each column to see the work at its current stage

What is moving, what is waiting and what nobody has started reads in a second rather than a scroll.

  4. Drag a card to update its place in the workflow

Moving a card moves that line under a different parent in the outline: one move, in one tree, with the notes still attached.

Use Board View for

  • Product launches with clear stages and owners
  • Editorial workflows from draft to publish
  • Team projects that need a quick status check
  • Personal plans where progress is easier to see than read

Get a status update without maintaining a second tracker

Board View gives a project visual clarity without asking you to copy work into a separate tool. Open a card when you need the detail; scan the board when you need the state of play.
