Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms cover your use of SpacebarX, the outliner and to-do app at spacebarx.app, operated by One Simple Life (OPC) Private Limited. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SpacebarX.
Your account
You can use the free outliner without an account. Some features, like Pro and syncing your plan across devices, need one. You can sign in with your email, through a magic link or one-time code, or with Google.
Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Let us know if you think someone else is using it.
Plans, trials, and payments
The core outliner is free. Pro is paid, and you can pay a few ways:
- A monthly or yearly subscription.
- A one-time lifetime purchase.
Pro comes with a 14-day free trial, and you don't need a card to start it. You can cancel a subscription at any time. When you cancel, Pro stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and it doesn't renew after that.
Payments are processed by Razorpay in India and by Paddle internationally. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for international purchases. We don't store your card details; Razorpay and Paddle handle your payment information under their own terms.
Refunds
If you're not happy with a purchase, you can get a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date — no questions asked. This applies to every paid purchase: monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, and lifetime purchases.
To request a refund, email [email protected] or reply to your payment receipt, and we'll refund the full amount to your original payment method. For purchases processed by Paddle, you can also request your refund directly from Paddle using the details on your receipt.
Referrals
You can invite up to three friends. When a friend joins through your invite, you each get 30 days of Pro. Please use referrals honestly. Don't create fake accounts or otherwise game the system to earn extra Pro time. We may reverse Pro time earned through abuse.
Acceptable use
When you use SpacebarX, you agree to:
- Use it for lawful purposes only.
- Not abuse the AI features, for example to work around a provider's limits or terms.
- Not abuse the referral system or try to earn Pro through fake activity.
- Not attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the service or other people's use of it.
Your content and your keys
Your outlines are yours. They stay on your devices and, if you turn on sync, in a drive you own. You're responsible for your own content and for keeping your own backups.
AI features use your own API keys, stored on your device. Requests go directly from your device to the provider you choose. You're responsible for following that provider's terms, and any AI output is yours to review before it changes anything in your document.
Third-party services
SpacebarX connects to services you already use, such as your Google Drive or Dropbox for sync, Google Calendar for events, your chosen AI provider, and Razorpay and Paddle for payments. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and your use of them is between you and them.
The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to make SpacebarX reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk, and keeping your own backups is a good idea.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, One Simple Life (OPC) Private Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SpacebarX. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here and move the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll give notice on the site. Continuing to use SpacebarX after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be handled under Indian law.
