Delete your SpacebarX account & data
Last updated
SpacebarX is made by One Simple Life (OPC) Private Limited. You can request permanent deletion of your account and associated server data here, including if you no longer have the app installed.
No app installation or website sign-in is required to send a request.
How to request deletion
- Email [email protected] from the email address you use for SpacebarX. Use the subject Delete my SpacebarX account and associated data.
- Include your SpacebarX account email and say that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted. If the link does not open your email app, compose the message manually.
- We verify that you own the account before deleting it and confirm completion by email. If you cannot access your account email, contact the same support address for help verifying ownership. Never send your password, sign-in code or payment card details.
Support normally replies within 1–2 business days. This is the initial response time; deletion follows ownership verification.
Or delete your account in the app
- Open SpacebarX and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings and choose Delete account….
- Read the deletion notice, type your account email to confirm, and select Delete account.
In-app deletion removes account data from our live systems when the operation succeeds, with no additional waiting period. The deletion is permanent and signs you out.
Data we delete
Deleting your account removes the following from our live systems:
- Your account profile, email address, linked sign-in identity, preferences and account usage timestamps.
- Your license, trial status, referral code and credits, and account-linked subscription mappings and pending purchase checks.
- Sign-in links and codes, saved sync connections and stored sync credentials.
- Account-linked usage pings and identifying details in stored webhook payloads.
Existing sessions stop working after the account is deleted.
Data we keep and for how long
- Backups: up to 7 days after deletion. Copies of deleted data may remain in backups until the seven-day backup rotation replaces them.
- De-identified operational records: no fixed expiry. We retain revenue, refund, referral and administrative records for reporting and accounting. Your account identifier is replaced with a random identifier, and detailed account changes in audit records are removed.
- Purchase protection records: no fixed expiry. We retain limited App Store and Google Play purchase records, including purchase identifiers and a protected hash of your email address, to prevent fraudulent purchase claims and allow eligible purchase restoration. These records are detached from your deleted account.
- Payment provider records. Google Play, Apple and Paddle may retain transaction records under their own retention policies and legal obligations. Deleting your SpacebarX account does not delete records held by those providers.
Notes on your devices and cloud drives
SpacebarX does not store your note content on our servers. Account deletion leaves notes on your devices and files in your own Google Drive, Dropbox or sync folder in place. They remain until you delete them yourself.
To remove those copies too, delete your local SpacebarX data on each device and remove the SpacebarX files from your own drive, including its trash or deleted-files folder. You can also revoke SpacebarX access in your drive provider's connected-app settings. Export anything you want to keep before deleting it.
Subscriptions and purchases
Deleting your SpacebarX account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel it in the store's subscription settings to stop future renewals. For subscriptions bought directly through Paddle, account deletion schedules cancellation at the end of the current billing period. Account deletion does not automatically issue a refund; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
